  • 8 Ounces Pimento cheese Musten & Crutchfield
  • 1 Lbs. Ground beef Chicken if preferred
  • 1 Pkg. Taco seasoning mix
  • Cup Water
  • 1 Can Chili beans
  • 1 Box Cornbread mix Jiffy
  • 1 Large Egg
  • ½ Cup Buttermilk
  • 1 Pickled jalapeno
  • 3 Stalks Green onions
  • 1 Tsp. Southwest style seasoning

  • Preheat oven to 375℉
  • Brown ground beef, Drain well and place back into pan.
  • Add taco seasoning and water, cook over medium low heat until sauce starts to thicken.
  • Place the mixture into the bottom of the casserole dish.
  • Drain chili beans but do not rinse, place on top of the ground beef mixture.
  • Seed and finely dice jalapeno.
  • Cut green onions into small ringlets.
  • Prepare cornbread mix using egg and buttermilk.
  • Add pimento cheese, jalapeno, green onion, and southwest style seasoning.
  • Mix until well incorporated.
  • Pour over ground beef/beans and bake for 35-40 minutes.
